Youth Ministries

In addition to Sunday morning classes, we offer youth groups that meet for special activities on Sunday afternoons or evenings.  Youth group activities include a variety of study, service, fellowship and FUN!  Youth groups allow teens and pre-teens time to further explore their relationship with God, the World, their Families and themselves in an informal, supervised setting.

Youth Groups:

  • Junior Youth Fellowship (JYF) - Grades 3-5
  • Chi-Rho - Grades 6-8
  • Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) - Grades 9-12  (may serve as junior deacons)

We participate in local and regional ecumenical youth events.  We attend our denomination's regional retreats and summer camps. In addition, we offer fun events throughout the year for the entire family!  Our pumpkin patch fundraiser every October helps to raise money for a summer youth mission trip.

Vacation Bible School:

We offer a meaningul "VBS" program each summer. This special week-long time of learning, faith and fun is open to all children in Natrona County.

Pumpkin Patch

This is a unique ministry of FCC started in 2004. The Patch is open daily every October in the weeks prior to Halloween. Our Youth Groups help host this event and proceeds from the Patch go to help our youth in various outdoor ministries and service projects in the summer. In the summer of 2006, our high school youth went on a Mission Trip to help with hurricane relief in New Orleans.  In 2010, our youth participated in the "International Affairs Seminar" trip to Washington D.C. and New York City to learn about the issue of human trafficking.  In July of 2012, we took a mission trip to St. Louis to experience a wide variety of "inner city" ministries.  In the summer of 2013, our youth will attend the General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Orlando, FL and help with an all-congregation mission weekend here in Casper.

Cub Pack and Boy Scout Troop #13

We have one of the oldest and largest Boy Scout programs in Casper. Cub Scouts meet at 6 pm and Boy Scout at 7 pm on Monday evenings. The boys and thier families participate in all district activities including camping, Pinewood and Klondike Derby, Snow Day and annual BSA summer camps.  Boy Scout Troop #13 is proud to encourage young men to earn the rank of Eagle Scout through special service projects that benefit our community.  Church leaders are regularly involved with troop activities and help teach the "God and Me" and "God and Family" courses.
